The cultural association “architect Simonetta Bastelli” aims to promote the culture of qualified landscape and the landscape in the collective commons, with a par-ticular attention to the new generations, in an appropriate relationship between architecture and nature. For these reasons, the municipality of San Venanzo or-ganizes the prize Simonetta Bastelli, to be assigned to the best projects that en-hance the relationship between architecture and nature in urban open spaces. The award comprises four sections: professional, young, dissertations and stu-dents.
Art. 1 – THEMES OF PROJECTS
The themes of the projects that can participate to the award covers the design of outdoor spaces in urban areas, with particular attention to the relationship be-tween architecture and nature. These spaces can belong to buildings (public or private) or autonomous (squares, avenues, parks, gardens).
Art. 2 – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The first section is open to all professionals, regardless of inclusion in a register, who have prepared a draft on the subject. The second section is open to all graduates who have not reached, as of September 15, 2015, the age of 35. For groups the prescription must apply to all members of the group. Theses discussed before July 31, 2015 may be submitted to the third section. Students can participate to the fourth session in an autonomous way, singly or in groups, or they can present, coordinated by a teacher, works produced as part of their curricula. You cannot enter the competition with the same project submitted to the I and the II edition of the prize, even if in a different category.
Art. 3 – REGISTRATION AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
FIRST PHASE: before 15 July 2015, send to the email address premio@simonettabastelli.com the registration
– SECOND PHASE: before September 2, 2015 should be received at the protocol office of the City of San Venanzo (Piazza Roma, 22-05010 San Venanzo – TR):
• 1 table in vertical format A2 (base 42.0 cm. Height 59.4 cm.)
• 1 document composed according to the scheme included in the site www.simonettabastelli.com containing:
Art. 4 – EXPOSURE AND JURY
All entries will be displayed at the town hall of the city of San Venanzo. The jury will elect a president and will decide independently the criteria of decision. The jury’s decision is unquestionable.
Art. 5 – AWARDS AND PUBLICATION
The awards will take place on September 19, 2015. You will receive a plaque of special-diploma with some special prizes. There are no cash prizes.
Art. 6 – PRIVACY AND LIABILITY ‘MATERIALS SENT
Each participant also declares to be entitled to use the images provided for promo-tional, editorial and documentary purposed, without the requirement of consent by the author, but with the only constraint to indicate in the publication of the au-thor’s name.
